Job Description: The Web and Interactive Engineer’s role is to lead a seasoned team of Product Management professionals who drive requirements for market leading solutions for a range of customers from marquis media brands to the most innovative of freelance designers, web professionals and motion artists. Full understanding of web technologies and web standards are a core requirement. The position requires a combination of strategic thinking, leadership and excellent communication skills. This individual must have a proven track record of applying creative thinking and analysis to solve business challenges whether product definition, positioning, pricing/packaging, or competitive strategy. The Web and Interactive Engineer must also be a clear and compelling communicator, able to bring others to new ways of thinking and achieve results across a team of direct reports and cross-functional collaborators. Additionally, he/she must be comfortable and credible presenting to engineers, customers, partners, analysts and enterprise sales teams. The Web and Interactive Engineer will manage and allocate global resources and define priorities. The individual will work with marketing and engineering to ensure value is communicated and delivered to customers. The right candidate will be a strong and dynamic leader that is strategic in nature but driven by execution; someone who can develop a powerful product vision while ensuring the continued success of a growing business. As a key leader of this important business line, this person will also be an external spokesperson at industry, media and customer events. Persuasive and fluent communication skills are key requirements for the position.

 

Requirements: Bachelor of Science degree in Web Development and Administration (or equivalent degree) and Master’s degree in Information Technology or Technology Management (or equivalent) from an accredited academic institution and Eight plus (8+) years of progressive experience in a Web Development or Systems Engineering environment; Demonstrated success in product definition, including target customer, core value proposition, core features and business model; Strong leadership skills; Excellent team management, coaching and mentoring skills; Superior communication, presentation, planning, process and influencing skills; Global experience building products at a global level, work across geographies and market segments. Documented experience evaluating competing geo opportunities and strategic expansion to new markets; Proven ability to navigate in a heavily matrixed organization; Documented analytical skills and creative intuition enabling a blend of data-driven and insight-driven strategy development; Documented success partnering with, presenting to and motivating engineering and marketing teams; and Progressive knowledge of web technologies and standards.
